The whole cottonseed contains 15% ~25% of oil, while its kernel contains 32% ~ 46% oil and 30%protein, so it is an important resource of edible oil and vegetable protein. Cotton seed oil contains 60% ~ 90% of unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic acid and oleic acid), which has the functions lowering cholesterol, preventing atherosclerosis, etc. It is an also important kind of edible vegetable oil.
Generally speaking, cottonseed oil processing mainly including the flowing production process, they are seed cleaning, cracking, flaking, cooking, expelling and refining.

2.Cottonseed pressing process

1.First put 1/4 or 1/3 of the cottonseed in the pot, and then slowly stir fry. During the frying process, avoid high temperature in the pan, which will cause the cottonseed hull to burn

2.Need fixed sieve and manual sieve to remove impurities and soil

3.When grinding, the material should be less,and the flow should be even and continuousTo make the cottonseed easy to break, the speed of the grinder should be faster

4.Sprinkle water with the ring groove of the milling roller. When milling, sprinkle water while turning the seeds at the same time, so that the draft of the billet is uniform and the milling is consistent

5.Pour the hair into the steamer and flatten it by hand. The temperature, humidity and water level of the hair should be the same

6.Then put the material into the oil press

7.The crude oil squeezed out by the oil press has impurities and is filtered after cooling

8. Put the filtered crude oil into the refining before eating

Cleaning:
In this section we use Magnetic Separator, Vibrating Sieve, de-stoner, decorticator (Cotton seeds used hammering decorticator). Through cleaning the impurity, you can reduce the lost of oil & improve the oil yield and the environment of production plant. The material has been produced after pretreatment contains the impurities ≤ 0.1%.
Cracking:
Adopting the toothed cracking roller to make the cotton seeds kernel into a right uniform pcs which can keep a moderate block size for squeezing out the oil.
Flaking:
To make cracked Cotton seeds kernel pcs into uniform smaller flakes with thickness ≤ 0.5mm, less powder, non-oil spilled, pinching  softly by hand and  the ratio of smaller powder than 1mm sieve mesh is ≤ 10% - -15%.
Cooking:
The process is to add the steam into the crushed/flaked seeds pcs, then to dry the seeds for getting rid off more water content.
Expelling:
Matching the modern style oil expelling press machines to get more oil, or you can use solvent after pre-pressing by oil expellers to get more oil. Solvent extraction is the commonly used commercial technique to recover oil from oilseeds.
Refining:
In the crude oil contains residue and solid powder, so we have to remove them before packing or refining.
